Why Start in Puerto Rico?

Puerto Rico Flag Beach

It all goes back to our Mission and Core Values.

We are driven by a core vision of becoming the global household platform for getting on-demand services and on-demand work.

Starting in Puerto Rico gives us as a platform a strategic advantage and unique viability.

Puerto Rico is a United States territory. As a market, it is in a unique classification as both a LatAm & US market. Viewing it as a single market type makes it’s size too niche for most companies. This is why Puerto Rico has been left underserved by most companies available in other US or LatAm Markets.

That’s the opportunity of starting our All-inclusive marketplace model for on-demand services here.

Underserved markets have less competition. Low competition removes the need to niche into one service vertical. This means Hallo is most viable to launch here and expand out.

In bigger and more saturated US or LatAm markets, we would have had to launch with one service in order to stand out from, and defend against big competition. Which makes us no different than other platforms.

Puerto Rico’s multilingual, multicultural market allows us to:

  • be the first-to-market product

  • build a solid and loyal community behind our brand

  • and focus our resources on exponential growth instead of fending off competitors.
